Our Committees
Most of the work and care of our Meeting is performed by our committees. They consider our most pressing business, put together reports, and make seasoned recommendations for decisions before the Meeting.

Standing Committees
Advancement & Outreach
Represents our Meeting to the larger Roanoke community.
Building & Grounds
Cares for our garden and facilities.
Meetinghouse Management
Handles rentals of the property and major projects at the meetinghouse.
Ministry & Counsel
Responsible for pastoral care and oversees our worship.
Nominating
Oversees the other committees and their work.
Online Communication
Oversees the website, email and Zoom worship.
Religious Education
Plans programs and special events on topics of interest to the Meeting. Learn more about our programs here.
Ad Hoc Committees
Vision Group
Meets every two months to focus on the spiritual and practical aspects of the Meeting’s path into the future.
Peace & Social Justice
Connects with the community, sponsors projects, and oversees donations to other nonprofits.
Stewardship & Finance
Cares for the budget and other financial matters.
Bear Witness Now
Meets weekly to focus on our concerns about the spiritual state of our country. Offers the Meeting suggestions for actions and recommendations for participation by the Meeting community.
